Photo by Rosetta Carr (American Art Gallery) Winnipeg 1888 Jean McMurray was the daughter of Harriet Inkster McMurray. She inherited her mother's home and lived on the property immediately behind Seven Oaks House Museum. Her daughter played a large role in establishing our museum.

"Blue eyes and dark hair. Fair & bright complexion". These instructions were left for an artist who hand-coloured photos for the studio's customers. |
