Join our experts as they take a deep dive into two museum collections, exploring the story of the oldest house in Winnipeg and the craft heritage of Manitoba. From Victorian finery to Voyageur gear, Manitoba has a rich and fascinating fashion history. We'll take you on a tour of some of the oldest and most interesting examples in our collections.

Doilies, quilts, table cloths and place mats, bed linens and more. So many of us have these types of items in our homes and both the Seven Oaks House Museum and the Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library have them too. We will showcase a few of the best from both collections.

This week's session will showcase the beauty of Indigenous beadwork, quillwork and embroidery. Our Curators are joined by Jennine Krauchi, a renowned Métis artist who specializes in beadwork and embroidery, and has studied many historic pieces in museum collections.
