Mission & vision

​Mission:
Fostering our relationship with our partners, stakeholders and the community we will:
  • preserve, protect and advocate for the Sinclair/Inkster homestead site;
  • educate the public about the site and the history of the area;
  • continue to research the site and its context;
  • acquire and display artifacts up to 1912.

Vision:
Seven Oaks House Museum will strive to be recognized as an integral and unique part of
Manitoba’s heritage as an outstanding example of a Scottish/Métis homestead from the Red
River settlement.

Meet our board

Seven Oaks House Museum is owned by the City of Winnipeg and managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Its citizen members are appointed by Winnipeg's City Council. Annual recruitment occurs in the fall.
